"There is an urgent need for clarity on the National Nomenclator, especially to reassure patients and healthcare workers." This is what the President of the Sardinia Region, Alessandra Todde , said about the table of healthcare services and the related reference rates.
"The rules implemented by the central government - explains the governor in a note - have in fact created perplexity, with changes in tariffs or definitions of services that confuse those who provide the services and patients or unnecessary complications such as the prescription of some visits no longer by the general practitioner but by the specialist . We have been working since the first day of the change in the nomenclature to resolve these problems to ensure the quality and continuity of health services".
"In light of the risk of cuts of 12 million euros resulting from the dry application of the National tariff desired by the Government and which will come into force in all regions of Italy - reiterates Todde - we have already intervened for our region not only by compensating for the lack of contributions, but by increasing the overall budget up to 170 thousand euros more than the previous tariff in force in Sardinia".
"In this sense, a bridge tariff has been prepared , approved by the council on 30 December, which increases the number of services compared to the past and maintains the economic-financial balance. We are working to arrive at our definitive regional nomenclature that responds to the needs of operators and patients . In fact, the competent commissions composed of experts from both the public and private sectors will soon be brought together to analyze the individual services and update the system effectively. To clarify these weeks of digital updating of the tariff from the old to the new, today the Council will discuss a resolution that will guarantee the continuity of services even in accredited private facilities, ensuring that those with modified codes or definitions are still reimbursed. We want to safeguard every essential health service for the Sardinians and we continue to work tirelessly for this", concludes the governor.
