The investigations of the carabinieri of the Stintino station and colleagues of the Porto Torres company continue into the case of the body found on Saturday morning on the rocks, a few meters from the La Pelosa beach in Stintino.

From the first comparisons with the registers of missing persons, the name of Andrea Careddu emerges, the 69-year-old man, originally from Olbia but resident in France, whose traces have been lost since May 27th . He was on holiday with his sister in Gallura, in the Stazzu Lu Palu area, near Arzachena, when he disappeared into thin air. He had told his sister that he would go to San Pantaleo to visit some friends, but his brother never arrived in the town. The woman had reported her disappearance on May 29th.

On the day the body was discovered in Stintino, he contacted the police to start the identification procedures. We will have to wait for the DNA test to trace the man's identity and trace the body to Andrea Careddu. At the time of his disappearance, the 69-year-old was wearing a blue t-shirt, dark shoes and a pair of jeans, one of the elements detected by investigators on the body, found on the rocks of Stintino headless and in an advanced state of decomposition.
