With the clothes hidden in his backpack, he tried to evade checkouts and flee without paying, but was then arrested by the Carabinieri. It happened yesterday evening in Cagliari , at the Spazio Conad in via San Simone , where a 29-year-old of Tunisian origins – living in the Monastir reception center – together with an accomplice, stole several items of clothing worth around 120 euros.
The young man tried to leave without paying, but was stopped by a security guard, who was attacked. After the fight, the 29-year-old managed to escape momentarily on foot together with his accomplice . He was later tracked down by the Carabinieri, who recovered the stolen goods.
The second man is currently untraceable and further investigations are underway to identify him. At the end of the formal procedures, the arrested man was transferred to the security cells of the Carabinieri Station of Cagliari-San Bartolomeo.
