He lost control of his Citroen along State Road 131 and after crashing into the barriers that border the road several times, he stopped in the middle of the road at the exit of a curve.

It happened at 3am on a Sunday. What could have been a tragedy ( it was really difficult to notice the sideways stationary vehicle that completely blocked the roadway, out of the curve and without lighting ) was foiled thanks to the manager of the Nuoro Traffic Police, who happened to be behind the vehicle.

The policeman secured the driver, ascertained his conditions (fortunately the man was alert and able to move) and alerted the operations room requesting the intervention of the agents .

Luckily the patrol arrived before other vehicles passed by and positioned themselves to report the accident, then moved the damaged car and in the meantime a second patrol arrived to stop traffic first, limiting the traffic to the overtaking lane only. .

In the end, the driver of the Citroen got away with some tests in the hospital, but above all the danger to other passing motorists was averted.
