Violent attack in Ussana yesterday evening against an off-duty policeman .

The Carabinieri officer , who was driving his private car at the time, had recently suffered a minor impact from an electric scooter . The incident happened quickly: the carabiniere, who had stopped to check on the driver's condition and to verify any damage to the vehicle, did not even have time to speak to the other party before the father of the man driving the vehicle , who had arrived from a nearby house, confronted him, violently hitting him and snatching the cell phone from his hand.

The entire scene unfolded before the eyes of some passers-by who, witnessing the incident, promptly alerted the emergency number 112. In a few minutes, a patrol of the Nucleo Radiomobile arrived on the scene, managing to restore calm and reconstruct precisely the dynamics of the facts thanks to the testimonies collected and the statements of the victim.

The attacked carabiniere was treated on site by the 118 paramedics . The attacker, a 68-year-old local man, was instead arrested in flagrante delicto and, at the end of the formal procedures, subjected to the measure of house arrest , as ordered by the Judicial Authority.
