He entered the home of an 86-year-old woman and attempted to rape her three years ago in Ossi . Today, a 52-year-old man from the village was sentenced to three years in prison, in a summary trial, in a Sassari court by preliminary hearing judge Gian Paolo Piana.

The judge also ordered the payment of 5,000 euros to the civil plaintiff and the man is expected to serve his sentence with community service.

According to the charges, in 2023, the defendant broke into the elderly woman's home after threatening her . Then, according to the indictment, he pushed the woman onto the bed, demanding silence and threatening to kill her. The man then attempted a sexual advance but fled when the woman started screaming. His escape was accompanied by intimidation; the man allegedly told the woman they would see each other another day.

The 52-year-old was represented by lawyer Elisabetta Udassi, while Silvia Ferraris represented the civil party.
