Uras and the administration, Emanuele Cera: "The Region must intervene."
Urgent question from the FdI regional councilorPer restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
"Enough delays. The Region must assume its responsibilities and immediately implement the Council of State's ruling." With these words, Emanuele Cera addresses the matter of the Municipality of Uras, which will soon be dissolved following the Council of State's ruling. Cera is the first signatory of the motion submitted by the Brothers of Italy council group.
We have filed an urgent question, requesting a written response, to ask the Regional President and the relevant councilor what steps they intend to take and when, in response to the Council of State's ruling on the dissolution of the Uras City Council. The Uras affair—Cera continues—cannot be dismissed as a simple administrative dispute. We are facing a serious institutional short circuit. Following the simultaneous resignations of seven out of twelve city councilors, the dissolution procedure should have been initiated promptly. Instead, for months, the City Council was allowed to continue its work based on a subrogation, which has now been annulled by the Supreme Administrative Court. But that's not all. Cera points the finger at the Region's actions: "The reconstructions contained in the documents reveal a management that is unlawful, ambiguous, uncertain, and politically unacceptable. The Region, rather than guaranteeing legality, clarity, and protection of the local authority, provided misleading instructions that were later resoundingly denied by the ruling of the Council of State. For this reason, we demand to know," he adds, "also in light of the public statements made by the mayor, who claimed to have acted in agreement with the Region, who provided these instructions, what discussions took place with the Municipality of Uras, what measures were adopted, and what political, administrative, and possibly accounting responsibilities may arise from a management that has created institutional confusion and risks bringing serious consequences to the local community." And again: "
Uras cannot be left in a state of uncertainty. The President of the Region must intervene immediately: full clarity must be shed on all the measures adopted in the meantime. Citizens cannot pay the price for the errors and omissions of the competent institutions.
