The decision in the Sassari court case of a teacher accused of abusing two 4-year-old children last year at the school where she taught has been postponed until October.

However, the preliminary hearing judge Gian Paolo Piana has established, in an abbreviated trial, that the woman will be able to return to teaching starting from May 28, thus putting an end to the prohibitive measure .

Today, the defense, represented by Marco Palmieri, held its hearing. Last time, it was the turn of prosecutor Angelo Beccu, who had requested a four-month sentence and the reclassification of the crime to abuse of means of correction, and of lawyer Stefano Porcu, who is representing the civil parties.

The alleged incidents consisted of blows to the head, spankings, and slaps; in some cases, the children were even pulled by the ears. On another occasion, according to the charges, the teacher allegedly lifted a child who had just fallen to the floor and forced him to sit down, "slamming him into the chair."
