He drowns in the waves: tragedy in Is Arenas

A dead man drowned in the sea made rough by the mistral in Is Arenas, in the Cuglieri area.

The victim is believed to be a 63-year-old German tourist, who was on holiday with his wife and children at the Bella Sardegna campsite.

According to initial information, he suffered a sudden illness in the water - perhaps a heart attack - and then was overwhelmed by the waves.

Unfortunately, the resuscitation attempts carried out by the 118 rescuers after the body was brought to shore were useless.

The soldiers of the Oristano Coast Guard were also on site.
