The person who filed the complaint with the Carabinieri was a seventy-one-year-old from Gonnosfanadiga: at the end of the investigations, the military managed to identify those responsible for the scam.
The elderly man seeking financing had accepted an offer published by the alleged company "Group-Service", which later turned out to be non-existent. Through trickery and deception, the scammers had induced him to make three top-ups on Postepay cards registered to them, for a total of 1,939.80 euros, without ever providing the promised loan.
The suspects, identified thanks to evidentiary evidence collected by the military, are a 78-year-old man resident in Palmi (RC), a 43-year-old man resident in Cisterna di Latina (LT), and an 81-year-old woman from Torre Annunziata (NA).
