They tried to tell the police that they knew nothing about those two and a half kilos of hashish they were carrying in their car.

A version that did not spare the handcuffs of two Spanish women aged 20 and 57, stopped this morning in Porto Torres by the Finance Police just after disembarking from the ferry coming from Genoa.

In a car door, thanks to the drug dog, a wrapper containing 2.5 kilos of hashish was found. The two women, a maid and a babysitter from Madrid, defended by the lawyer Fabio Bruno, said they were unaware of the presence of drugs. They told prosecutor Mario Leo that they left Madrid two weeks ago, aboard a car loaned to them by an acquaintance. They explained that they stopped in several cities in Spain and then in France before reaching Genoa and embarking for Sardinia.

The prosecutor has ordered house arrest in a b & b in Alghero, until Monday morning, when the hearing for the validation of the arrests will be held.
