Gutturu Mannu, two poachers surprised by the Forestry in the park

They were surprised as they reached the area chosen for the illegal hunting expedition . Two men aged 63 and 82 from Sarroch , already known to the police, were reported by forestry officers engaged in an anti-poaching operation in the Gutturu Mannu regional park.

The agents saw the two, telling them to stop: one managed to escape, throwing a weapon and ammunition into the fields that were later recovered, the second was immediately blocked and his rifle was confiscated.

The two weapons were analyzed and it emerged that they were clandestine and handcrafted .

The homes of the two were searched and wild boar meat of illicit origin was seized. Weapons, ammunition and game were seized.
