Grillo trial, key defense witness fails to appear in court: he will not be heard

Enrique Bye Obando, the Norwegian boy who is the key defense witness in the Grillo trial, did not show up again in court in Tempio. He was expected at the hearing that began this morning, but as has already happened on other occasions ( the last one on December 2nd , and before that on September 23rd ) he never showed up.
He will not be heard: the deposition is no longer necessary, the name of the witness has been removed from the list of defenses . No rogatory will be sent to Norway. The witness is a young man whom the alleged victim of the Grillo case had accused of rape, without however reporting it. His presence was considered decisive by the defense of Ciro Grillo, Francesco Corsiglia, Edoardo Capitta and Vittorio Lauria.
This morning the preliminary hearing was concluded. There will be no more witnesses to hear, in the next hearings there will be the discussion of the parties. There has been a substantial production of the civil party, with the integration of various documents that would contain new statements by the alleged victim .
