Green Grotto, work begins for its valorisation for tourism purposes
One year of interventions and financing for 850 thousand euros. The construction of a walkway that reaches the brackish lake is planned

A year of interventions, 850 thousand euros of funds available to enhance the Green Grotto of Alghero for tourism purposes. A karst jewel located on the eastern side of Capo Caccia , which has always been closed to the public and which will finally be able to welcome the first visitors in September 2024.
Today, at Casa Gioiosa , the signing of the contract with the company that won the contract : Simec of Olmedo . It will have to create a walkway of approximately 200 linear meters for two ring circuits in order to allow the public to admire the vast gallery adorned with large columns and stalagmites, up to the brackish lake.
The Green Grotto, a cave close to the more famous Neptune's Grotto, once included in the visit circuit, will be able to bring new life to the coffers of the Park Authority.
