Gonnosfanadiga: infiltrations, molds and breakdowns, the rest home closed
The decision after the inspection by the Nas of the carabinieri
The San Vincenzo center , a housing community for the elderly, in Gonnosfanadiga , was temporarily closed with a provision from the mayor.
The decision became necessary after the investigations carried out by the Nas of the Carabinieri who had entered the structure last December 30, managed by a social cooperative, and had documented various situations of non-compliance including moisture infiltration in the walls, the presence of mold , breakdowns of some air conditioning splits, lack of some doors to the rooms, damaged furnishings.
The authorization to operate the center is suspended, with an order to transfer all guests to a more suitable facility by 15 March and until the requisites necessary for the correct functioning of the rest home are restored.
