The Geovillage bankruptcy trial has concluded: the preliminary hearing judge of the Tempio court, Alessandro Cossu, has accepted the plea bargain request presented by the Docche family , accused of aggravated fraudulent bankruptcy, false accounting, and failure to pay withholding taxes on a huge debt of €158 million, €43 million of which was owed to the treasury and social security institutions.

The sentences were confirmed: four and a half years in prison for the founder of the tourism and sports complex, Gavino Docche, and less than two years for his wife, Anna Costaggiu, and their son Fabio , represented by lawyers Fausto Bruzzese, Gianluca Tognazzi, Domenico Putzolu, Bruno Cuccu, and Pasquale Ramazzotti. Accountant Gian Luigi Puggioni, represented by lawyers Carlo Selis and Fabio Varone, who had requested a fast-track trial, was acquitted on grounds of non-compliance .

"We are pleased with the outcome. The decision to proceed with a fast-track trial was made because the investigation documents clearly disclosed our client's role, which was conditional on the provision of expert opinion," Selis stated on the sidelines of the hearing. The case against Salvatore Bianco, the director of one of Geovillage's satellite companies, remains open. He was indicted and is being defended by Attilio Chirico.
