He returned from Tunis with 89 ram horns, probably to be used for the production of knife handles , for a total weight of 12 kilos.
The unusual cargo was found by officials of the Cagliari Customs Office on duty at Elmas airport . This is a record seizure carried out against a passenger resident in Sardinia who landed on a flight from Tunis.
The 89 ram horns were found in the luggage, the man was unable to provide any veterinary certification, which is required to import products of animal origin . The horns were therefore seized and sent for destruction.
