The first two students from the IUPALS (Italian Universities for Palestinian Students) project contingent from Palestine have arrived in Cagliari . They will attend the University of Cagliari.
The project, promoted by the Italian University of Venice (CRUI), is dedicated to students from the Palestinian territories and aims to facilitate access to university studies in Italy for the 2025/2026 academic year.
Thanks to the collaboration between CRUI, the University of Cagliari, and ERSU Cagliari, the two young people will continue their academic career in the Sardinian capital, staying in one of the Student Residences of the institution for the right to education, where they will be provided with logistical support to ensure they have the right conditions to study and experience our community.
"In full respect of the institution's institutional role, along with its daily commitment to student welfare, ERSU Cagliari stands by peace and brotherhood among peoples. Welcoming those fleeing war and destruction is a gesture that speaks louder than many words. The right to education must know no borders or barriers, and represents one of the strongest bridges we can build against every war and every genocide," states Marco Meloni, president of ERSU Cagliari.
