Urgent medical transport of an 8-day-old baby from Alghero to Genoa with a Falcon 50 of the 31st Wing.
The little patient - the Air Force announces - was to be transferred from the University Hospital of Sassari to the Gaslini Pediatric Hospital in Genoa.
Suffering from a serious neonatal disease, he traveled inside a thermal cradle, accompanied by his mother, monitored and assisted by a medical team. Today's life-saving flight was activated, at the request of the Prefecture of Sassari, by the Air Force Summit Situation Room, which immediately involved the 31st Wing, one of the Departments that carries out the operational readiness service for this type resignation.
Once all the necessary procedures were carried out by the military crew, the aircraft took off at 12 from Ciampino airport bound for Alghero. After embarking the newborn, the Falcon 50 then left for Genoa where it arrived shortly after 1pm.
