Acquittal because the fact does not exist, yesterday in court in Sassari, for Andreuccio Uggias accused of the manslaughter of the fourteen-year-old Antonio Meloni, who died in Ittiri on 24 November 2017 when he fell under the Arst bus driven by the forty-eight year-old.

Judge Silvia Masala pronounced the sentence at the end of the discussion by the prosecutor Ilaria Achenza and the defense lawyer Nicola Satta.

The first recalled what happened over 6 years ago, at 7.15 in the morning, with the young people coming down from the sidewalk to be the first to get on the bus that was concluding the maneuver. In those moments the drama with the young man who stumbles and hits his head causing a fatal trauma to the base of the skull. The wheels, the prosecutor specifies, do not go over the body of poor Antonio: this is established by the engineers' reports.

These rule out the possibility that the vehicle reversed, hitting the teenager and, as Achenza points out, the driver did not commit any imprudence.

The defender reiterated the same thesis underlining how it was a fatality which unfortunately put an end to Antonio's young life. The defense lawyer of the offended parties, the parents of the fourteen year old, was Michele Galia.
