Almost four months of rain concentrated in 48 hours , considering that on average almost 600 mm of rain falls on the island in a year with peaks of up to 1500 in the mountains.
The record was set in Villagrande Strisaili; this morning's update reported 387 millimeters of rain falling in two days. Urzulei recorded 370 millimeters, Gairo 280 millimeters, and Jerzu 241 millimeters .
Ogliastra was the area hardest hit by the rains. Further south, 187 mm was recorded in Sinnai . And further back, looking for areas with rainfall exceeding 150 mm, we find: 157 in Tertenia, 186 in Ilbono, 166 in Sadali, 151 in Esterzili, 174 in Baunei, 160 in Orune, and 171 in Alà dei Sardi.
Pula, Castiadas, Escalaplano and the area close to the Flumendosa, Fonni, Mamoiada, Orani, Nuoro (137), Onanì, Padru exceed 100 .
