First public meeting for the ''Comitadu pro Sa Nurra'', mobilized against the energy speculation taking place in an area with an agricultural vocation .

Major multinationals have presented 50 projects to build 4 million photovoltaic panels on 50 square kilometers of fertile and irrigated land . Plants raised from the ground for energy production disguised as agricultural projects, say environmentalists who denounce the speculation in progress, in the first of the itinerant meetings inserted in a busy calendar.

The panels accumulate heat and there is a risk that temperatures will rise, creating a "bubble" that could harm residents and various animal species . Of 50 proposed projects, about ten have been stopped, but politics seems rather distracted in the face of an announced outrage.
