Fonni, the “In Movimento” Group is the precious service of adapted physical activity: «Twenty members. Happy to help those who experience a disability"

Six volunteers united in reaching out to those suffering from multiple sclerosis and other disabling pathologies. Since 2017, the Fonnese group "In Movimento" continues to grow in synergy with the Nuoro Aism and the Municipality, promoting more initiatives, including adapted physical activity.

The collaboration between the actors in the field is perfect, to the satisfaction of the local community, towards what has now become a precious service. Available three times a week, in the multifunctional center that houses the Emergency Medical Clinic: «Thanks to the financial support of the provincial Aism and the Municipality - say the volunteers - we guarantee gymnastics with qualified personnel on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. To date we have twenty members. Seeing their joy in benefiting from the activities fills us with joy."

They add: «Our group was born almost by chance. Three of us suffer from sclerosis, the others however close to the cause. We were driven by the desire to improve the quality of life of those suffering from pathologies that limit movement. We intend to continue on this path."

Mayor Daniela Falconi is satisfied: «The synergy is maximum. I consider the initiative commendable as well as the commitment of the volunteers. Every year our administration is pleased to contribute to the carrying out of these activities. Attention to social issues is and will be maximum."
