Between the buildings of via Flumentepido, Serbariu and Quintino Sella in Cagliari there is a "large sewer courtyard" with flooded cellars "between feces and urine, a smell that spoils the air , mosquitoes and cockroaches but also 'alien' trees, considered infesting yet powered by the open sewer ".

A situation denounced by Marcello Polastri, city councilor, which has been going on for a hundred days and which is at the center of a question that will soon be illustrated in the Council. Unless, he specifies, "we will not intervene sooner, as I sincerely hope".

It all started after the explosion of the sewer in via Flumentepido, from which the heavy inconveniences began, with the residents who cannot live with the smell that is released and not even always with the windows closed.

Now, Polastri underlines, we need to find a solution and act immediately “because it is necessary to avoid blaming the buck and, indeed, to act immediately. In fact, it would be enough to carefully read the note issued by a vacuum cleaner company to understand that the problem of the sewer system that spoils the air in Via Flumentepido is caused by a rupture in a pipe, and not by a clogging ".

In his note, the councilor also underlines: “In the parts of via Serbariu and Flumentepido, the residents have already paid out of pocket, in addition to the rented house, 3 times for the interventions of a vacuum cleaner. Should they also bear the costs of fixing the condominium sewer pipe? It would be inconceivable ”.
