Flare-up in the face in the kitchen of a restaurant: a 40-year-old chef in serious condition at the Brotzu

Serious accident at work this afternoon in the kitchen of a restaurant in the Marina district of Cagliari.

A 40-year-old cook was hit by a blaze in the face while cooking. Immediately rescued by his colleagues, the man was transported to the Brotzu in red code. He suffered burns on 20 percent of his body, particularly in the face and chest.

The dynamics of the accident have yet to be clarified. After the first aid of colleagues, a 118 ambulance arrived on the spot for transport to the hospital.
