It has been at the center of a very tough legal dispute and an investigation by the Tempio Public Prosecutor's Office for months and, now, a drastic measure has been taken by the Port Authority of La Maddalena for a pier in the sea of Cannigione.

We are talking about two piers that are too close together (dangerous for navigation), a long battle before the TAR, an expansion permit withdrawn in self-defense and a criminal investigation.

The Harbour Office (Maritime Directorate of Olbia) has ordered an Arzachena association to immediately remove a 22-meter pier and all related works. The measure is the consequence of a ruling by the TAR, but also of the revocation in self-defense of an opinion by the Harbour Office, which, at least initially, gave the green light to the work.

It must be said that the Arzachena association (a non-profit organization engaged in non-professional nautical activities) had all the permits to build a large T-shaped dock as an extension of an existing structure. But once it was built, the risk to navigation safety became evident. The structure is dangerously close to the Destriero dock, which has existed for some time, owned by the Sardigna Mare company. The srl, represented by Benedetto Ballero, Nicola Melis and Stefano Ballero, has always considered itself seriously damaged and now the Port Authority has agreed with them.
