Fires, Friday with red dot in Cagliari and on the south-east coast of the island

Red dot day for fires on Friday in eastern and southern Sardinia, with the whole island that will be lashed by a strong mistral wind.

The new bulletin of the Directorate General of Civil Protection for "extreme" danger for the day of Friday 19 August affects the area of Cagliari and the south-east coast up to Villasimius to then go up towards Costa Rei and Sarrabus, Ogliastra and Nuorese up to the Gulf of Orose i.

"For the red alert - specifies the Civil Protection - the conditions are such that, once triggered, the event, if not promptly dealt with, spreads rapidly reaching large dimensions despite the cooperation of the air and regional forces".
