Ten fires that occurred today in Sardinia with particular emergencies in Las Plassas, Assemini and Mores where the Forestry Corps used, in addition to ground crews, also air vehicles.

In Las Plassas the fire broke out in the locality of "Sant'Antioco": the extinguishing was coordinated by the staff of the Barumini Forestry Corps Station, assisted by the staff on board the helicopter coming from the CFVA base in Villasalto together with the staff of the team intervention arrived on board the twin engine Superpuma which took off from the Fenosu base. A team from the Forestas Agency of the Barumini yard also intervened. The fire covered an area of about 3 hectares of wood.

In Assemini the flames developed in the “Truncu Is Follus” locality, where the operations were coordinated by the Uta Forestry Corps, with helicopters coming from the bases of Pula and Villasalto. A team from the Forestas Agency from the Monastir construction site, one from the Barracellar Company of Sestu, one of the Fire Brigade from Sanluri and two of volunteers from the Assemini associations also took part. The fire covered an area of about 10 hectares of reeds and uncultivated areas.

In “Su Sassu”, a locality in the Municipality of Mores , the shutdown was coordinated by the staff of the Ozieri Forestry Corps Station, assisted by the personnel on board the helicopter coming from the Anela base. Two teams from the Forestas Agency from the Ardara and Ozieri shipyards took part, a team from the Barracellar Company of Mores, a team from the Sassari Fire Brigade and 2 teams of volunteers from the Ozieri and Mores associations. The fire covered an area of about 2,500 square meters of stubble and overgrown.
