Fire in Quartu, burning plastic materials and old appliances

Fire of household goods and vegetation in Quartu between Via Uda and a rural area of the Simbirizzi lake.

The alarm was raised around 22:30 yesterday at the emergency number 115 of the operations room of the Fire Brigade Command.

An emergency response team from the headquarters intervened on site with aps and off-road vehicles equipped with a forest fire prevention module.

Plastic materials and old appliances are on fire : the operators have also located some abandoned LPG cylinders, cooled and made safe.

No people or assets are involved.
At the end of the operations, the Fire Brigade reclaimed the residual outbreaks and started the investigations to establish the causes of the fire.
