Fire in Olzai: Ground teams and aircraft are in action to clear the area.

On Sunday morning, the Forestry Corps continued its cleanup operations following the fire that broke out on Saturday afternoon in the countryside near the municipality of Olzai, in the Badu de Carru area.

Ground personnel responded to the scene, supported by air assets: two Canadairs that took off from Olbia airport, which performed several jumps before leaving the area, and a helicopter from the Forestry Corps' operational base in Sorgono.
The fire was monitored throughout the night. At dawn, the Director of Fire Extinguishing Operations at the Gavoi Forestry Station requested aerial intervention.
