Drug trafficking , with the increase in that of synthetic substances, assaults on armored vehicles and fraud, especially against the elderly, are among the main critical issues on the security front in Sardinia . But the positive aspect is that almost all those responsible for the crimes are identified. "The commitment and determination of the Carabinieri are the result of important and significant operations against crime", reiterated the regional commander of the force, Brigadier General Stefano Iasson , in the evening, during the ceremony in the Zuddas barracks on Via Sonnino for the celebrations of the 211th anniversary of the foundation of the Carabinieri. "We are on the front line of crime repression, with operations and investigations carried out with great professionalism by all personnel. But the Carabinieri are above all close to the citizens: they are available for an opinion, for concrete help. In some cases there is almost a relationship of brotherhood with the communities".
Not only that. The regional commander highlighted the great attention paid by the Carabinieri, under the coordination of the Cagliari DDA, to the relationships between Sardinian criminal groups and the mafia organizations of the Peninsula. "Nothing is left to chance."
During the celebration, in the presence of the highest civil, military and religious authorities, commendations were then delivered to the Carabinieri who distinguished themselves in important operations and interventions.
