Fertilia, the bridge closes to traffic for two days

The Fertilia bridge closes to traffic for two days , 18 and 19 April , for a check-up with modern monitoring systems.

There is the executive ordinance number 145 which provides for the temporary ban on vehicular traffic, while pedestrians and bicycles will be able to cross the overpass using the special lanes . These are planned interventions on the structure that has already completed a century, aimed at assessing the state of conservation and overall improvement of safety .

In line with the recent directives of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport - Superior Council of Public Works, for risk classification and management, safety assessment and monitoring of existing bridges, the municipal administration of Alghero has in fact planned, financed and carried out with its own resources, an extraordinary maintenance intervention on the arches and wall facings . We start with the monitoring system, necessary to be able to proceed with the planned interventions.
