A new model of territorial welfare based on collaboration between local authorities and citizens' associations. This is the goal of the memorandum of understanding signed in recent months by the Italian Multiple Sclerosis Association and ANCI, the national association of Italian municipalities. The Municipality of Dolianova has also joined this collaboration agreement, adopting the Charter of Rights for People with Multiple Sclerosis and Related Conditions, Their Families, and Caregivers. The memorandum of understanding will be signed tomorrow at 6:30 PM in Dolianova by Mayor Ivan Piras, City Councilor for Social Policies Marianna Scioni, and Cagliari Representative for AISM (Italian Association of Multiple Sclerosis) Alessia Usai. The agreement will last three years and may be renewed upon expiration. The Municipality of Dolianova will participate in initiatives to promote the inclusion and quality of life of those with multiple sclerosis. Special attention will be paid to young people, with awareness-raising activities in schools to encourage the full participation of students with disabilities in social and educational life. The memorandum of understanding also includes the possibility of launching projects for inclusive sport, well-being, and social integration.
