San Teodoro is the most popular destination for Italian holidaymakers for this Ferragosto , with an average price of 163 euros and an average number of 4 people per stay.
This is what emerges from a report by Holidu, one of the most famous holiday home booking portals in Europe, which has created a ranking of the top 50 destinations for Italians for Ferragosto 2024, checking prices and the average number of people for each destination analysed.
Sardinia outperforms all the regions and confirms its primacy with 10 destinations in the ranking, 4 of which are in the top ten : in addition to San Teodoro, there are Villasimius in fourth place, Budoni in eighth and Alghero in tenth. Other Sardinian locations in the ranking include Olbia (18th), Costa Rei (19th), Stintino (33rd), Santa Teresa di Gallura (42nd) and Golfo Aranci (43rd).
Second is Gallipoli in Puglia, with a price of 122 euros and an average of 5 people. The third step of the podium goes to San Vito Lo Capo in Sicily, where vacationers spend an average of 136 euros and travel in groups of 4 people.
The vast majority of the destinations preferred by Italian holidaymakers for Ferragosto are in Italy, 44 out of 50. However, there are also 6 foreign destinations that stand out in the ranking, 5 of which are in Spain: Palma de Mallorca (7th), Barcelona (9th), Lloret de Mar (12th), Benidorm (40th) and Valencia (50th), and one in France, Nice (48th).
The most expensive city is a place in Spain, specifically Barcelona, with an average price per night of 295 euros for 4 people. On the other hand, the cheapest destination is Agropoli in Campania, with an average cost of 104 euros for 4 people. The average number of people per destination varies from 3 to 6, with most places seeing an average of 4 people per stay.
