From the budget variation in the Region, a singular curiosity emerges. In fact, 800 euros were allocated as an off-budget debt that the Region used to purchase the funeral wreath of Felicetto Contu, one of the great politicians of the island's DC who passed away in July of a year ago.
A debt evidently never repaid to the funeral agency that the offices of the then presidency had turned to for the commemoration of the former regional councilor, deputy and European parliamentarian.
Contu, who died on July 10, 2023 at the age of 95, was a municipal and regional councilor, mayor, provincial and regional assessor, president of the regional council, European parliamentarian and undersecretary. The tribute of the Region is due, it is a pity that the funeral wreath has not yet been paid.
