Fear at Poetto: a boat dragged by the waves runs aground a stone's throw from the beach

Moments of fear at the Poetto in Cagliari , in front of the D'Aquila bathing establishment.

A ten-meter sailboat ran aground this evening a few meters from the beach . The vehicle was anchored offshore, with no people on board: due to the sea conditions and the strong sirocco it was dragged close to the coast.

There it ran aground in the shallow seabed, so far the attempts to free it and bring it back to sea have been useless: the fear is that, pushed by the waves, it will crash into the bathhouse .

First the Fire Brigade intervened on the spot, then the Coast Guard specialists. The sailboat has not reported any damage, for the moment there is no form of pollution.

Harbor office and fire brigade are evaluating when and how to move it, given the schedule , operations will be postponed to the morning of Tuesday 6 September.
