A moved and silent crowd bid Ortueri farewell to the farmer killed in his sheepfold on Sunday.
The funeral mass of 54-year-old Graziano Loddo was celebrated by the bishop of Oristano, Monsignor Roberto Carboni, who called for forgiveness and peace. In his homily he also had a thought for the murderers, inviting them to convert.
With his presence, the bishop wanted to express his closeness to the farmer's family and to a community still in shock , which has always been far from criminal dynamics which, however, has recorded two murders in the space of two years.
To stem this dangerous spiral of hatred, the parish priest Father Giovanni Cuccui led a well-attended torchlight vigil on Tuesday evening, in an atmosphere of great silence. The same thing that happened this afternoon during the funeral.
