Falls from the cliff while fishing: 74 years old dies in Stintino

Tragedy during the night in Stintino , Sassarese, where a 74-year-old man fell off the cliff and died .

The episode took place around 10pm .

From what we learn, the man, a tourist from Gioia del Colle , was fishing when, perhaps due to an illness, he lost his balance and fell on deaf ears. A flight of several meters and then the crash on the rocks.

Immediate request for help and the arrival on the spot of the firefighters of Porto Torres, the Coast Guard and the carabinieri. Getting to the point where the pensioner crashed was not easy.

The firefighters arrived with the divers, while the Port Authority of Porto Torres sent a patrol boat and a team ashore.

The firefighters managed to recover the body of the elderly man, who died instantly in the fall, around 1am. The body was then entrusted to the Coast Guard who transported it to the port.
