“He told me that he had stabbed him and that he had thrown him into the Bau Pressiu dam. But I didn't believe him, it seemed like a lie. I told him that if it had been true I would have called the carabinieri myself and that he had to turn himself in ”.

These are the words of Elisa Trudu in the Court of Assizes in Cagliari in the trial for the murder of Fabio Serventi, 24, who disappeared into thin air on March 21 last year. The woman recalled the evening when her ex-boyfriend, the 35-year-old defendant Andrea Pinna, allegedly told her a few days after the crime how the boy was killed.

Called to testify by the prosecutor Rossana Allieri, the woman recalled the moments of tension that occurred immediately after the murder, when the then boyfriend with whom she was living confessed to the crime.

"He told me that he had killed him for money - he said in the courtroom - but in my opinion it was a speech so out of the ordinary that I had not believed him".

During the deposition Andrea Pinna, defended by Teresa Camoglio, remained silent. The witness also answered questions from the plaintiff lawyers.

According to what was reconstructed by the prosecution, Serventi was killed for a debt related to drugs, his body was never found despite the many searches carried out by the carabinieri.

The investigators arrived at Andrea Pinna following the wake of some hand passes of the victim's scooter, but to frame him there are also the interceptions picked up by the investigators, including those in which he spoke with his girlfriend.

The next hearing will be held on December 20.
