He is a «young dance talent and an extraordinary interpreter of the values of our land». With this motivation this morning the mayor of Cagliari , Paolo Truzzu, awarded the dancer Carola Puddu.

Just twenty years old, he made inroads into the hearts of Italians with Amici 21 by Maria De Filippi. For her, a landing place after a life of hard work and study: Carola has been dancing since the age of 4. First in Cagliari and then, from 9, the transfer to the prestigious École de danse du Ballet de l'Opéra in Paris, where she graduated by embarking on a professional career, which took her as far as Canada.

Now she is part of the Balletto di Roma company, with which tonight and tomorrow, Wednesday 14 December, at the Teatro Massimo, she will play Juliet in "Romeo and Juliet".

The mayor Paolo Truzzu handed over the commemorative plaque to the talented Selergina dancer. Congratulations to her for the results achieved and best wishes for her work to the applause of a packed boardroom on the second floor of the Town Hall in via Roma.
