In relation to the latest landings of illegal migrants on the coasts of Southern Sardinia, a 22-year-old Tunisian national was arrested in Domus de Maria because - despite being the recipient of a decree of expulsion from the national territory issued in 2021 by the Prefect of Rimini - he returned in Italy before the expected re-entry authorization period, i.e. three years.
Specifically, the young man was discovered during a control activity in Chia Laguna, where 16 migrants who had just arrived with a small boat were identified and taken to the reception center in Monastir, for the identification procedures carried out by the Immigration Office, which availed itself of the collaboration of the forensic police for the photo-signaling and fingerprinting. During the operation, the violation, foreseen and punished by the consolidated law on immigration, was discovered. The Court of Cagliari has already ordered the validation of the 22-year-old's arrest.
