Over 15 years in prison for the four accused of the procured escape of Johnny lo Zingaro , on 5 September 2020, when he did not return to Bancali prison from the award permit.

The public prosecutor Erica Angioni asked for the convictions this afternoon in the courtroom in Sassari at the end of the second part of her speech begun in the previous hearing on 15 June.

According to the prosecutor, the responsibilities of Gabriele Grabesu, Cristian Loi, Giovanna Truzzi and Lorenzo Panei in the preparation of Mastini's escape as well as in his 10-day fugitive in the Zinziodda farmhouse in the Sassari area where he was found by the police of State.

"A decisive contribution that of the defendants - according to the indictment - both in terms of logistics, transport and moral support without which the event would not have taken place".

Thanks also to the use of "intercom telephone numbers" in the name of other people through which some of the defendants, in the reconstruction of the public prosecutor, communicated with Johnny both before the escape and during the period of clandestinity.

For Truzzi, defended by the lawyer Silvio Toccafondi, and Grabesu, assisted by the lawyer Marco Palmieri, the request was for both 5 years; for Loi, the lawyer is Stefano Porcu, 3 years and 4 months, for Panei, defended by Paolo Spano and Marco Piras, 2 years and 8 months for personal aiding and abetting. Judge Elena Meloni has scheduled the discussion of the defenses for July.
