« Episode from a few days ago: the patient was triaged at 4:45 p.m., then taken into care at 9 p.m. It was an elderly person with serious problems, who had been waiting all these hours on board the ambulance. Therefore, a serious inconvenience for the patient, for the health workers and for the territory, deprived of an emergency vehicle available for too long».
Mario Vicentini, president of Alba, the 118 association, tells us about it. «Unfortunately, the situation in the Cagliari emergency rooms is always the same: almost every day there are piles of ambulances and many hours of waiting, things haven't changed after Ferragosto ».
Yesterday evening – according to the data from the Monitor Ps app – at Brotzu for white codes there were about 8 hours of waiting, at Policlinico 6 hours, at Santissima Trinità 4. All in all not even one of the worst days. In the rest of the island, yesterday, a more complicated picture almost everywhere: 10 hours at San Francesco in Nuoro; six hours in Ozieri; 12 hours at San Martino in Oristano; 9 hours in San Gavino.
