Electronic systems to detect objects in flight: high technology at Tortolì airport
An experiment is underway on the track at the Ogliastra airport, with specific testsPer restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
Once again, the Tortolì-Arbatax airport is the site of high-tech experiments. The protagonist is the company Nurjana Technologies, a member of the Sardinia Aerospace District (Dass), which is carrying out tests on particular electronic systems also with the collaboration of AvioClub Ogliastra and its pilots for the performance of flight tests in order to develop very high-precision optical systems.
The experimentation is made possible by the fact that, as part of the Sardinia Uav Test Range project, funded by the Region, at the end of 2023 Dass rented from Aliarbatax for three years a functional hangar near the runway and a welcoming space with offices used by Nurjana Technologies to carry out the ongoing experimentation.
"For this company born and developed in Sardinia", explains the legal representative Pietro Andronico, "it is a great advantage to be able to test its systems using local infrastructures before tackling the international markets of interest". The president of Dass Giacomo Cao is satisfied. " The opening of an operational headquarters of the district at the Tortolì-Arbatax airport is allowing the territory to acquire visibility on very advanced research and development themes in the aerospace sector ".
