Elderly woman killed at home in San Gavino: son arrested

Simone Uras, 43, the son of 77-year-old Maria Atzeni who was found dead yesterday late in the evening in her home in San Gavino, was arrested overnight .
The man, who suffers from psychiatric problems, is accused of voluntary manslaughter.
He was tracked down , after a brief escape, by the carabinieri of the Villacidro mobile radio while he was wandering by car in Pabillonis, about ten kilometers from San Gavino, and was transferred to the Uta prison in Cagliari.
The other man found the woman last night around 10pm: the hypothesis is that the old woman was strangled but we will have to wait for the autopsy to understand what happened in the house. Signs of beatings and bruises were found on the body .
