A Monday of relative respite for the regional firefighting team, compared to what happened in recent days.
Eight fires broke out in Sardinia , only for one the Forestry Corps, in addition to the ground crews, also used air vehicles.
The fire broke out in the countryside of Jerzu , in the “ Br. Baxiniedda ” area. The Jerzu Forestry Corps Station and two helicopters in action from the San Cosimo and Villasalto bases coordinated the firefighting operations.
