Approximately 35,000 arrivals expected between Good Friday and the day after Easter Monday in all three Sardinian airports, a total traffic of approximately 135,000 passengers between arrivals and departures between 6 and 11 April, an estimate for flows in ports in growth compared to pre-pandemic years.

These are the estimates of the tourism sector for the "Easter weekend" on the island, the first test for the holiday sector before the start of the summer season.

In Cagliari, Sogaer, which manages the Elmas airport, expects traffic of 75,000 passengers (round trip) divided over the 460 scheduled flights, for a total of 84,347 seats on sale. At the Alghero airport, Sogeal expects around 28,000 passengers on 180 flights and a network of 19 connections to and from nine countries, while at Olbia, Geasar estimates traffic at around 31,000 passengers, for a total of 240 movements and a network of 26 connections to six countries.

From the sea, on the other hand, the estimates of the Port System Authority of the Sardinian Sea indicate increasing percentages which will be confirmed by the balance sheet data.

The internal "movement" is also intense: even the residents, in fact, will move from one end of the island to the other to celebrate Easter, with reservations in about 800 structures, including hotels, restaurants, bed and breakfasts and farmhouses.

"The data for April are not yet reliable as regards the start of the season - explains the regional councilor for Tourism Gianni Chessa - but we must still prepare ourselves in the coming months to welcome over nine million arrivals , to whom we can offer the best services" .
