Fires in Capoterra and Macchiareddu, with flames hitting a photovoltaic farm.

The Cagliari firefighters intervened in the afternoon on two separate fires that developed in the consortium area of Macchiareddu and in Capoterra .

In the first case, the flames broke out outside an abandoned warehouse. Volunteer teams responded to the scene, later supported by firefighters. According to initial information, the fire affected a photovoltaic plant.

A second large fire broke out near the Capoterra cemetery, not far from the homes. The Forestry Corps also responded to this fire with the support of a light helicopter from its Pula operations base.
