Drunk or drugged drivers, regardless of speed limits: 15 licenses withdrawn in Cagliari in one week

Driving drunk or under the influence of cocaine, ignoring speed limits and in some cases with an uninsured car.

Over the past week, checks by the Traffic Police in the province of Cagliari have led to the detection of 141 violations of the highway code.

A 19-year-old boy was found drunk driving a few days after obtaining his license, which was revoked. A forty-year-old stopped in the center of Cagliari tested positive for cocaine.

Of the 141 violations confirmed, 90 were for speeding. In total, 406 points were deducted and 15 licenses were withdrawn. Seven vehicles were seized, another two subjected to administrative detention.
