The Carabinieri of the San Vito Company's Operational Unit arrested a 36-year-old for possession of narcotics with intent to sell and for carrying weapons or objects capable of causing harm.

The officers, who had been discreetly monitoring the man's habits and movements for several days, seized the right moment to intervene. They found in his possession a heat-sealed cellophane package containing approximately 23 grams of hashish and eight doses of cocaine ready for sale, for a total weight of 3.3 grams. The Carabinieri also recovered and seized €1,300 in cash, divided into banknotes of various denominations. The search then concluded inside his car, where they found a 70-centimeter-long aluminum baseball bat.

Once the incident was reconstructed, all the material was seized, while the man was placed under house arrest pending the validation hearing ordered by the Judicial Authority.
